Happy New Year
Well, as the year comes to a close I am busy reflecting on all its ups and downs at Carlenrig Farm ! It has been a year full of exciting projects and meeting of lovely new friends through my new micro business. I have enjoyed every moment of it and am really looking forward to the new challenges in 2015 - of which I am sure there will be many. This little daisy bag made from vintage French linen has to be one of my favourites of the year. I recently acquired some more vintage linen from France and am itching to get stitching!! A huge thank you to all friends, family, customers and fellow makers for all their support and encouragement throughout my first year in business. I couldn't have done it without you. A special thank you to my kind husband for his patience and understanding.

Patchwork
I used to do a lot of patchwork years ago. Recently I came across some templates so thought I'd experiment on a little zippy bag! It's really sweet - more time-consuming than I remember though!

Vintage French Cotton
I have had this vintage cotton in my cupboard for a while and yesterday I decided this is how I would use it. It was quite expensive but I just love it combined with the cotton ticking. Another one I will be reluctant to part with !

Indian cotton
Bought some lovely indigo dyed cotton this weekend and am looking forward to making a summer top from it. Have to wash the cloth a few times first I believe so that the colour doesn't come off on you or your clothes !!
